today...

Today…

I’m not really in a very good mood, I guess. Heard something that made everything turn upside down.

I guess… it is my fault for letting it actually mess with me like this. I mean, I’m supposed to be far far away from all these emo breakdowns. I’ve spent so many days, so many hours, to actually sort out myself, to let go of everything and stand back up on my own two feet… then just because of something that happened which caught me off guard, I’m actually feeling that familiar pang of anxiety. The tight feeling in my heart which I’ve left behind long ago. (or was it really long ago?)

Well, all these doesn’t matter anymore. Things changed. Life goes on. I’ll be moving on also.

And since I’m in such a oh-so-wonderful mood, I’ve gonna end this joyful post with two very sad songs that not many people know about. Give extra attention to the lyrics coz rarely songs are written that beautiful and sad.

All songs can be found on the playlist on the right hand side of this page.

Tim McGraw-Don’t take the girl (song no. 8)

Johnny's daddy was taking him fishin'

When he was eight years old.

Little girl came through the front gate

holdin' a fishin' pole.

His dad looked down and smiled,

said, "We can't leave her behind"

"Son, I know you don't want her to go,

but someday you'll change your mind."

And Johnny said,

"Take Jimmy Johnson,

take Tommy Tompson.

Take my best friend, Bo.

Take anybody that you want as

long as she don't go.

Take any boy in the world,

daddy please, don't take the girl."

Same old boy, same sweet girl

ten years down the road.

He held her tight and kissed her lips in

front of the picture show.

Stranger came and pulled a gun

Grabbed her by the arm said "If you do what I tell you to do,

there won't be any harm"

And Johnny said "Take my money,

take my wallet,

take my credit cards.

Here's the watch that my grandpa gave me

Here's the key to my car

Mister give it a whirl,

But please don't take the girl."

Same old boy

Same sweet girl

Five years down the road

There's gonna be a little one and she

says it's time to go.

Doctor says the baby's fine

but you'll have to leave

'Cause his momma's fading fast and

Johnny hit his knees and there he prayed

"Take the very breath you gave me.

Take the heart from my chest.

I'll gladly take her place if you'll let me,

make this my last request.

Take me out of this world

God, please don't take the girl"

Johnny's daddy

Was taking him fishin'

When he was eight years old

Rascal Flatts-Skin (song no. 9)

Sarabeth is scared to death

To hear what the doctor will say

She hasn't been well

Since the day that she fell

And the bruise, it just won't go away

So she sits and she waits with her mother and dad

Flips through an old magazine

Till the nurse with a smile

Stands at the door

And says will you please come with me

Sarabeth is scared to death

Cause the doctor just told her the news

Between the red cells and white

Something's not right

But we're gonna take care of you

Six chances in ten it won't come back again

With the therapy were gonna try

It's just been approved

It's the strongest there is

I think we caught it in time

Sarabeth closes her eyes

And she dreams she's dancing

Around and around without any cares

And her very first love is holding her close

And the soft wind is blowing her hair

Sarabeth is scared to death

As she sits holding her mom

Cause it would be a mistake

For someone to take

A girl with no hair to the prom

For, just this morning right there on her pillow

Was the cruelest of any surprise

And she cried when she gathered it all in her hands

The proof that she couldn't deny

Sarabeth closes her eyes

And she dreams she's dancing

Around and around without any cares

And her very first love was holding her close

And the soft wind is blowing her hair

Its quarter to seven

That boys at the door

And her daddy ushers him in

And when he takes off his cap

They all start to cry

Cause this mornin where his hair had been

Softly she touches just skin

And they go dancin

Around and around without any cares

And her very first true love is holding her close

And for a moment she isn't scared

Frankie J-Daddy’s Little Girl (song no. 10)

He drops his suitcase by the door

She knows her daddy won't be back anymore

She drags her feet across the floor

Tryna hold back time to keep him holding on

And she says

Daddy Daddy don't leave

I'll do anything to keep you

Right here with me

Can't you see how much I need you

Daddy Daddy don't leave

Mommy's saying things she don't mean

She don't know what she's talking about

Somebody hear me out

Father listen

Tell him that he's got a home and he don't have to go

Father save him

I would do anything in return

I'll clean my room

Try hard in school

I'll be good

I promise you

Father, Father

I pray to you

Now she hasn't slept in weeks

She don't want to close her eyes cause she's scared that he'll leave

They tried just about everything

It's getting harder now

For him to breathe

And she says

Daddy Daddy don't leave

I'll do anything to keep you

Right here with me

Can't you see how much I need you

Daddy Daddy don't leave

The doctors are saying things they told me

They don't know what they talking about

Somebody hear me out

Father (father) listen (listen)

Tell him that he's got a home and he don't have to go (don't have to go)

Father (father) save him

I would do anything in return

I'll clean my room

Try hard in school

I'll be good

I promise you

Father, Father

I pray to you

Please don't let him go (don't let him go)

I'm begging you so (I'm begging you so)

There open his eyes

There ain't no more time

To tell him that I love him more

The many thing in the world

Is Daddy's little girl

Father (father) listen (listen)

Tell him that he's got a home and he don't have to go (don't have to go)

Father (father) save him

I would do anything in return

I'll clean my room

Try hard in school

I'll be good

I promise you

Father, Father

She was Daddy's Little Girl

Mmmmm Oh
